Are you looking for the perfect theatre summer camp for your child? Look no farther than our theatre day camp MUSICAL MADNESS! This program for students ages 6-12 produces a full musical in just ONE WEEK! That’s right…all of the songs, dances, sets, costumes, props, and Shine fun that you’ve come to love all packed into one week of musical theatre madness! Our 2024 show will be Mary Poppins Jr.!

Students will be called in to pick up their script and for a costume fitting this spring.

FAQS

This show is different than other shows at Shine: anyone who registers for Musical Madness is guaranteed a role in the show and is not required to audition. Those who would like to be considered for a principal role will be asked to audition via video. 

To audition, email a google drive folder to info@shineplano.com. Include two videos:

  1. Click here to access a list of audition sides (then click “Audition Central”). Choose a character to read for and have an off-camera helper read for the other characters in the scene.

  2. Sing 16-32 bars of music from a musical. You must sing with piano accompaniment; no singing a capella, please. Please do not sing a song from Mary Poppins Jr.. 

Be sure to record your videos in a quiet place with a neutral background. Reduce the light behind you and increase the light in front of you. Your camera should be a static wide shot.
